Chipolte External Factor Evaluation Essay
Examination of the External Environment Inside the quick easygoing section, there are sure outer patterns and powers that Chipolte must address. A portion of these patterns and powers can loan themselves to being artful in nature; anyway there are some that can undermine the prosperity of the café. The achievement of an organization eventually relies on how well it can utilize its qualities to exploit outside patterns. By using an External Factor Evaluation Matrix (EFE) a companyââ¬â¢s boss planner can break down and decide significant outside circumstances and dangers imperative to the fate of their association. Another developing pattern that the quick easygoing industry can exploit is the developing wellbeing patterns among buyers. An ever increasing number of individuals are getting mindful of the nourishments that they devour and are gaining ground to eat more beneficial. Truth be told, as per an ongoing overview by the National Restaurant Association, 19% of all clients are effectively searching out sound options when eating out (franchisedirect.com, 2011). This is an immediate aftereffect of stoutness rates continually increasing in the United States. Besides, a few cafés contending in the quick easygoing division have put forth cognizant attempts to offer rather solid suppers to their clients. Surely, understanding that clients are searching out sound alternatives when feasting out will provoke the business to appreciate a lot of accomplishment in the coming years. A third pattern is the extending enthusiasm for, and accessibility of, natural food fixings. A few café networks have committed their strategic vision articulations to search out the best fixings. Its an obvious fact that many inexpensive food chains utilize modest fixings that even trade off the dietary benefit of the food it serves. Be that as it may, a few quick easygoing chains won't bargain the respectability of the fixings utilized in its menu alternatives. The utilization of produce that originates from reasonable practices is turning out to be increasingly more imperative to clients after so much light has been shed on how creatures are treated before being u tilized for food. This has evenâ prompted numerous chains to buy produce from privately possessed natural food makers. Truth be told, as indicated by the National Restaurant Association, 70% of grown-ups state they are bound to visit an eatery that offers privately delivered food things (franchisedirect.com, 2011). The ongoing advances in innovation have additionally empowered different eateries to offer clients a progressively adjustable approach to arrange food. There are as of now applications that permit clients to arrange food by means of their cell phone. Profiting by a thought from pizza parlors, quick easygoing cafés likewise permit clients to arrange food on the web and determine a specific time for get. As these cafés offer its clients more approaches to put in a request, the business can keep up a bigger inclination for development as requesting food turns out to be progressively advantageous. The quick easygoing section has additionally started to go into the development of maintainable eatery plans. Presently, there are various activities for creating LEED and other manageable structur es. These structures are ecologically amicable, and offer focal points to the networks that they are raised inside. At the leader of this bend is Chipotle, which has gotten the main affirmations for LEED-planned eateries (fastcasual.com, 2008). Utilizing manageable structures to house its cafés isn't just favorable in light of the fact that it would speak to clients, yet there are additionally other legislative motivating forces as assessment credits and derivations (irs.gov, 2011). Along these lines, not exclusively are reasonable structures extraordinary for pulling in and keeping up new clients, however it additionally bodes well as well. Enhancement of food ideas is an enormous method to draw in a more extensive crowd with a separated taste. As the quick easygoing portion keeps on developing and thrive, the organizations contending can bear to actualize side projects much similarly as the goliaths of the cheap food industry have done as the years progressed. A large number of the key players inside the business draw in a client with a particular taste profile. As these cafés proceed to extend and develop, they also can side project another brand of eatery with a separated menu. Going with the various chances to the po rtion, there are likewise a few existing dangers that must be explored so as to stay effective. The first of these potential dangers relates to rising food costs. The quick easygoing fragment should particularly observe this since it as of now utilizes the best fixings which lead to greater expenses. Notwithstanding, if food pricesâ continue to rise, the business would be compelled to either reduce expenses or raise the costs on its menu. This is a tricky subject as the eateries inside the section can't bear to raise costs excessively high without confronting antagonistic impacts to its ordinary business activities. The simplicity of section into the market is additionally another danger that the association must battle. Albeit quick easygoing cafés offer an unmistakable encounter for purchasers, its items are not really progressive using any and all means. This leaves them to some degree helpless against contenders to enter the market and assault the brand; particularly given the low startup costs for eateries. Be that as it may, with sufficient advertising and most extreme consumer loyalty, these eateries can keep up their client base and obstruct any likely contenders. Progressively nasty climate and the evident expanding danger of cataclysmic events consistently stays a pot ential difficulty. This would cause food deficiencies and a lofty ascent on the cost of fixings. This makes it totally essential for associations to broaden their merchants to various pieces of the U.S. so as to forestall disastrous deficiencies. Along these lines, if a flood demolishes the gracefully of one provider in a region, the eatery can utilize another provider somewhere else so as to keep up sufficient dispersion to its eateries. The danger of downturns likewise can be a hurtful curse to the segmentââ¬â¢s achievement. Monetary downturns frequently influence most organizations in negative manners and the quick easygoing portion isn't shielded from such an occasion. In spite of the fact that it enjoyed moderate development and flourishing through the latest downturn, the fragments development was hindered a piece, just like the case for a larger part of ventures. In any case, cafés were enduring in keeping up costs and a quality encounter and clients kept on supporting the food portion. The danger of consumersââ¬â¢ taste inclinations changing is consistently of con cern. Albeit a great many people are animals of propensity, separation of taste inclinations can change, leaving the café powerless. Knowing this, it is critical that eateries continually enhance food quality and the feasting experience. Doing so will keep the whole experience ââ¬Å"freshâ⬠and lure the client to return. One of the deterrents in eateries venturing into various territories that most don't understand, is the way that there are frequently challenges in getting the essential understandings to open new stores (Chipotle 10-k, 2011). These comprise of building grants if the organization isâ looking to fabricate a fresh out of the plastic new apparatus for the new eatery, to rent understandings for current structures. Various urban communities have distinctive zoning and statute codes, settling on the choice to lease a prior space a conceivable other option. Be that as it may, the eatery the executives regularly has an objective number of what it needs to pay on a month to month premise. Frequently, there can be an error between what the executives feels is reasonable and what the lessor feels is reasonable. This can thwart the development pace of an eatery until the two gatherings come to holds on reasonable standing of a rent understanding. It is significant that quick easygoing associations continually break down circumstances and dangers that are introduced outside of the association. In the event that organizations don't misuse its points of interest inside the market, it can't develop at a pace that it ought to be. Then again, in the event that it doesn't appropriately explore and battle the outer dangers introduced, it will without a doubt not be ready to go for the drawn out limit which is frequently trusted. Along these lines, an EFE is critical in creating and keeping up a fruitful business. Works Cited David, Fred R. Vital Management Concepts: A Competitive Advantage Approach. Boston: Pearson, 2013. January Blues
January Blues Thursday a feeling: walked home in 24-degree weather after spending 12 hours facing off with my own incompetence at work. ok computer was playing as it occurred to me that i have no friends in this city. a fragment: narratives as mnemonic devices a story: i spent last weekend eating photogenic desserts with a friend who thinks everything tastes sour and another friend whose chair is comfortable to sleep on. a fear: spending my life like i am this month, in a bubble of people who talk about money all the time, in a spotless glass enclosure that overlooks a city but is not quite part of the city a thought: my capacity to learn is infinitely more valuable than my existing skillset an action item: i am so, so bad at remembering finance termsneed to start taking notes. most are easy to intuit but difficult to remember and retrieve at the right times. right now i store pointers and not dataneed to move to main memory (system 1). a work in progress: almost finished reading americanah. everyone in the book is a caricature and i love it. a question: a year from now, how intact do you want your emotions to be?this is from a year ago, probably while contemplating the way that rationality is some peoples holy grail. emotions get in the way of reason but are the most powerful incentives, are what makes life worth living. also, what does it mean to be mentally healthy? at the lab where i UROPed this semester, i learned that people tend to overestimate themselvesunless they are clinically depressed. if you dont assign any value to human pleasure, dont you just become completely apathetic? im thinking of my brother, the most stubbornly rational person i knowbut of course you can be rational and still choose to place value on emotion. the problem is that most people dont know beforehand what theyre optimizing for/how to quantify all their choices, and there is a post hoc rationalization for pretty much anything. siiiigh. whatever. just live. a memory: mom talking at me about how the world is a constrained optimization problem (oh, my family) and me wondering, what are the weights? a final thought: keep walking past dead things like david bowies apartment and al jazeera america. keep finding out about suicides on facebook. shared tragedy is a powerful uniting force. the world keeps making its weight apparent. Changes Friday My host is traveling this weekIve been living alone since Monday, struck by the mental pileup of inconsequential observations that comes with having no one to idly chat with. I talk to people on a daily basis at work, and Im in regular contact with my friends, sending out dispatches about my job, the food Ive tried, the biting coldbut I share my moments with no one. Ill notice something about the room and discover there is no one to mention it to. Only then does it get lonely. n.m.s.s. Saturday Work feels kind of like high school, in the sense that you show up early and on time, do your work for long hours, and hope to win the favor of the people around and above you. The internship is basically designed to be an extended job interview. I kind of appreciate that there are no frills, but Im getting bored because I have a good grasp on my own project but not enough time left to make meaningful progress on anything bigger. For now, I guess it is nice to have created something that might actually be used in a meeting or a presentation. The work has been manageable and reasonably challenging but not particularly exciting or fulfilling; the best part is, I suppose, that my interest has been sufficiently piqued for me to want to learn more about investing. Ill probably go to a bookstore and flip through some finance books this weekend, so that I can at the very least understand other peoples conversations. Like art history, finance uses lots of pretentious vocabulary to describe s imple concepts. If this internship is improving me, its only because I am no longer intimidated. Im working at a big bank, so its very secure (read: insular). I miss free open-source software. The dress code makes me laugh at my own reflection. The pecking order is apparentdemeanor is strongly correlated with job security. As far as work environment goes, I appreciate the presence of both strats (people working mostly on code) and sales (chatty businesspeople) teams in the vicinity of where I sit. Ive met a lot of interesting people but want to be none of them. There are other comments I could make, but my opinions are too premmature for the Internet. Im still not sure how I feel about the paceI like that it is demanding (particularly for people who are not interns staying for a month) and there is never any shortage of work, but I dislike the way that information is often outdated after just a few hours and one cannot even hope to get to the bottom of anything. I get the impression that no one is really gaining any concrete knowledgebut man, are there a lot of charts and reports and analyses everywhere. The image of a hamster wheel, or a dog chasing its own tail, comes to mind. These are not new concerns. I say, I just wanted to make sure I didnt like it, but thats not true and I dont know what is. I wanted to spend today reading but then I accidentally woke up in the afternoon, did someone elses laundry, and wrote this blog post instead. Even when working, I feel like I am wasting time. I miss the manic energy of MIT, people creating things out of love and curiosity, the relative lack of bureaucracy. I miss the lucency of hopeful young people, living with others not already firmly rooted in their own families and routines, all these things I took for granted. Fitter Happier Daily Grind 7:45 am wake up, put on makeup and a suit, eat yogurt 8:30 am leave home, walk to PATH station, commute, walk to office 9:00 am arrive at office, maybe talk to someone about what they are working on, start working on my project 1:00 pm usually by this point ive completed something or have run into a technical difficulty and needed to call the help desk or have met with my supervisor about next steps. anyway, lunch at the cafeteria feat. a large coffee, brought back to the desk so i can eat and work at the same time, #productivity, halleujah 7:30 pm leave office, usually after having met with supervisor a few more times. possibly after sitting in on meeting where i introduce myself and explain my project. more senior people have more meetings and take more calls. after traipse around new york city, decide to eat or shop somewhereor that i dont actually want to eat or shop. read novel while eating dinner, take the (most likely delayed) PATH back to jersey city, maybe skype or talk to a friend. too late sleep The atmosphere is different from a lot of other internships because there is not really a cohesive intern programthere are quite a lot of us, but we all work in separate areas and rarely see each other, besides at networking events, and we take care of our own housing. Its stringently corporate. On the other hand, a finance firm that advertises itself as basically a tech company is likely to have a more casual work environment and intern program. Anyway. I hope you all are well.

Freedom of Speech and Freedom of the Press in Nigeria
Nigeria is located in West Africa and borders Cameroon, Niger, Chad, and Republic of Benin. The country consists of 36 states and its Federal Capital, Abuja. Freedom of Speech in Nigeria has been talked about for many years. Campaigns have been put in place against the government to come up with new laws that protect the people, and the press, to express their opinions and what they believe in. According to Article 19 of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights 1948), ââ¬Å"Everyone has the right to freedom of opinion and expression: this right includes freedom to hold opinions without interference and to seek, receive and impart information and ideas through any media and regardless of frontiersâ⬠. This article in simpler words states that, no matter in which country you live in, you have the right to express your opinions and ideas with freedom. Although this is a universal declaration, the impact it has in Nigeria is very small. Mental Health Nursing for Aboriginal and Torres -myassignmenthelp
Question: Discuss about theMental Health Nursing for Aboriginal and Torres Strait. Answer: Introduction The Torres strait islander and aboriginal people are the indigenous Australians who were descended from groups and islander that existed before the British colonisation. Indigenous people are approximately 2.5% of total population in Australia. These people mostly live outside the main urban areas(Toensing, 2013). In Australia mental illness has become very common. Almost 20 percent of people between age of 16-85 years suffers from mental illness. Anxiety, substance use disorder, depression is the most common mental illness found in Australian people. In recent years, mental health conditions of indigenous people have worsened. Mental health condition of indigenous people is three time worse than non-indigenous people. There is dramatic increase in mental health issues like depression, anxiety, deaths from suicide in them. The average age of aboriginal and Torres strait islander people is 21 years compared to the average age of rest of the Australian people which is 37 years(Mundy, 2 017). So, it would be unfair to make comparison of indigenous which comprises of mostly young population with rest of Australians. This paper describes the role of mental health nurses in relation to the indigenous people of Australia. As we know, the main role of mental health nurses is to help support and provide nursing and medical care to the people suffering from mental disorders. They generally work as a part of team of medical professionals such as doctors, therapists, psychiatrists and social workers(Tohota Heslop, 2016). Mental health condition of Indigenous people Indigenous people prefer the term social and emotional wellbeing instead of mental health as it sounds more positive and has holistic connotations. They never believed that health is not only related to physical state of the body but also the emotional, spiritual and social well being of the whole society is important(Hunter, 2014). According to 2014-2015 data, around 67% of adult age between 18 years and above experienced moderate or low level of psychological distress in comparison to rest 33% of below 18 years having very high level of stress(Jorm, Stewart, Bourchier, 2012). There was arise of 6% in those having high level of psychological distress from 2004 to 2015. The indigenous adults were 2.6 times more susceptible in comparison to non-indigenous population experiencing high level of psychological distress(Parker, n.d.). Further among these the female population were more affected in comparison to male population. The people falling in theses groups were either having low income, lower education or were unemployed. The issues faced by the indigenous population along with the factors responsible for deteriorating their mental health are: Grief and loss: This mainly includes the grief arising from the loss of land culture, connection and other areas, linked to invasion in the past. Trauma of stolen children: The past incidences on stolen childrens have put these people under lot of mental distress and trauma. These incidences are still existing and moreover the government authorised departments causal approach towards this serious issue worsens their conditions. Unsolved trauma: Trauma is the main cause and contribution to many health problems in indigenous population. This resolved trauma worsen a person mental health and even passes to the next generation. Loss of land, culture and identity: When these people are separated from their traditional homelands, culture then they feel incomplete and search for who they are and where they belong to. This feeling of loss of identity affects their physical and mental state. Discrimination on the basis of race, culture: The discrimination based on colour, caste, creed or culture or racism have significant impact on ones mental health. Fewer opportunities: Several factors lead to poor economic condition of these group of people and due to this they are at disadvantage in comparison to the non-indigenous group. The constant worry about the money and ways to resolve. This issue further worsens mental condition. Violence and substance abuse: The use of drug or substance to ease their tension leads to violence depression other issues. These domestic violence or other places contributes to poor health conditions. Role of mental health nurses Mental health nurse plays vital role in Australian health care system, serving thousands of patients on daily basis. This role can be challenging at both mental and physical level but it gives positive results as nurses work directly with their patients on regular basis(Fisher, 2013). This job places nurses in different environments like hospital wards, community centres homes, outside patient departments and residential units. The care for patients with mental illness is full of challenges. In case of patient with acute condition, the nurses have to build a relationship with the patient to understand their emotional and physical needs. The constant monitoring of medication and their results is also very important to track patient progress. They have to track patient progress on time to time(Nesnera, 2016). The patient should be kept away from stressful situations, so that it can be helpful in treating patient suffering from mental trauma. It is also important to interact with the family members of the patient and other staff who can often provide suggestion and information to improve patients health. Similarly, while treating mental health of indigenous people, nurses or health personnels should understand the culture and traditions of the indigenous community while assessing their mental illness. The treatment of the patient without understanding their culture identity, connection with the homeland is worthless. These nurses should try to understand the underlying reasons for the grief, loss, distress of their patients, so that nurses can know how they can be consoled and treated(Roles of a Mental Health Nurse, 2013). They should help them to move on from their past incidences that have caused them distress and pain. As non-indigenous people, these Aboriginal and Torres strait islanders should also have same choices and rights to know, understand the process of treatment before being applied to them. They should also have right to accept or reject treatment they are being provided. So, these nurses respect the patients belief, wishes, values, decisions and provide treatments acc ordingly(Manuel, 2012). The role of mental health nurses to treat and improve indigenous mental health are described below: Respect is what every individual seeks and it is no different with these group of people too. They should be respected and encouraged for practising their own culture and tradition so that their identity is not lost. There should not be any discrimination on the basis of caste colour, creed and culture. So, these nurses show respect and care to them so that these indigenous people trust medical professionals and let them help for the betterment of their health(Focus on health, 2014). Mental health nurses are committed to the values of equity and social justice so they treat everyone equally. This is why they give equal importance to the health of vulnerable people as well. These nurses can act as an educator and empower the group by providing knowledge or education on several issues related to mental health at individual groups and community at large. This helps to reduce the number of mental health problems existing in these community(Wyder, 2014). They assess mental health of patient, performs screening and diagnosis to know the exact mental condition of them. They establish ethical, moral and therapeutically relationship with their patients. They assess appropriate nursing interventions so that they could help patients to cope with risky behaviours like self-harm, addictions, aggressive behaviour etc(Roden, Jarvis, Campbell, 2016). They help by monitoring medicines, educating them and monitors the response of the treatment they are providing. The nurses should organize awareness programmes on the drug usage and its side effects. This will certainly bring down the cases of domestic violence, violence among groups, thefts etc. These nurses should work with indigenous people and community so that they can provide culturally appropriate treatment to these people. They act as a direct care provider and motivates individually and also the whole community and educates them to learn to take care of their health. They also act as an addiction counsellor and provide treatment like counselling, therapies etc for different drug addiction issues. Their another important role is to act as a consultant for indigenous and other community people as well. They help you by providing important health care practices and policies about the health care providers and also shares knowledge about suitable medical facilities. Conclusion: From the above discussion, it is apparent that the cases of mental illness in people is not natural but is due to the problems and environment which they are in. The less availability of health facilities infrastructure, clean water, education, fresh food, employment opportunities, etc are main contributors towards mental health issues among indigenous people. This can be controlled when all the causes are taken care off. Along with these causes they should be encouraged for practising their culture traditions and respected for who they are. they should have access to proper medical health care facilities. The nurses and medical health providers should understand the need and availability of primary health care and other medical infrastructure for the indigenous people as well, so that they start receiving treatment right from the start instead of waiting for their conditions to worsen. There are not enough medical facilities for these people which leads to the huge gap of mental ill ness between indigenous and non-indigenous people(Little, 2016). So, with the help of mental health nurses along with other health professionals these differences can be minimized and can help to understand and treat these peoples mental health conditions.
